No gift is too small. Just $10 goes far in Tanzania. The Kilimahewa Educational Centre currently serves approximately 60 teenagers based on the following:
- $3.50 monthly individual cost of attendance
- $5 - 7 average price of many texts in Tanzania
- $3 - 4 monthly cost of a nutritious lunch of makande for one student
- $350 - 450 monthly salary of a qualified teacher
The approximate cost of other educational programs we support is:
- $1,200 annual cost of private secondary school including fees and personal expenses
- $2,000 - 4,000 annual total cost of an advanced certificate or higher education degree
Donors may make a general donation to EdPowerment or may target their funds to one of our three initiatives.
